Local Love: The VIP Celebration

It’s still sinking in that this dream of ours has become a reality. Just over a month ago, we were knee deep in paint, dust, wood shavings, empty hangers and these huge super-sized shit-eating grins. We had opened a shop. In a mall. Holy shit.

Just over a month ago, we did it. Full time hours; Full staff; Full hearts. And now we were ready to party!! I enlisted the help of our Community Manager Diana, to work with me on creating a VIP party as a fun way to say thanks to some special people who have been along for the ride over the past 2.5 years. Friends, Family, Collaborators, and Special customers all gathered behind curtained off walls to sneak a peek at the fresh work we had done. We partied with champagne (28 bottles to be exact! ha!), ate the most astonishing sweet treats + cake from the amazing Art of Cake, celebrated with some giveaways [the best (hands downs!) coffee beans locally roasted by The Colombian Mountain Coffee + the most amazing prints by our pal, Justine Ma Designs] all while keeping the place smelling delicious with some Fabloomosity bloom boxes.

I don’t quite have the right words to express how I felt that night. I was surrounded by some pretty amazing people, all who took time out of their busy lives to celebrate with us. That was pretty damn awesome. To feel that much support and love, well…geez. YEG – you know how to make a woman feel pretty special. Heart incredibly full.
