Grown Up Talk: Resetting with Cheese [& friends, too!]

theskinny298Oh hey there, Diana here, and I’m so excited to be sharing my first blog post with The Skinny today! I don’t know how you guys feel but with our fast paced world of “go, go, go” I find it’s so important to slow down and take time for YOU!

With the start of a new year comes the time to set the tone for the year ahead. I know for myself and many friends I’ve spoken to, a big goal of ours for 2017 is to slow things down and enjoy quality time with one another [I know, I know – easier said than done].

There’s certainly no shortage of stresses out there and it’s so easy to allow our cups to overflow without taking time for ourselves. Between work commitments, maintaining a household, taking care of your children (or fur babies 😉 ) and trying to juggle “all the things” while pretending to be cool, calm, collected and “pinterest perfect” the pressures can all get to be a bit much.

That’s why I think this year we should all try to be kinder to ourselves and value our relationships and what better way to do that than by spending quality time with the special ladies (or gents) in your life. So today’s post is for you mama’s and papas out there – with a truly easy (I swear) and delicious (oh yes!) idea to take some time for yourselves – even if it’s just a few hours to rewind, relax and reconnect with those important to you. And what better way to do that than with a little wine and cheese! Haha

We at The Skinny partnered with SPUD to share a simple cheese board that we feel is a great way to slow things down and enjoy time with those important to you.theskinny280theskinny289theskinny293theskinny299theskinny302theskinny288theskinny308So what’s on our board?
