COOKING: Bone Broth Pho

Bone Broth. Have you heard of it, yet? While it may be intimidating to some at first, the benefits of what this good stuff has to offer you, far out ways any nerves! Seriously, you must try this stuff out!

First off — what is Bone Broth? Co-founders Diane and John choose to prepare Bo & Marrow Broths the old fashioned way, by simmering for 30-48 hours and only using locally sourced, organic products. They also never reuse the same bones, so your getting each broth jam packed with healthy nutrients [like insane amounts of collagen] giving you one happy gut!

Whether you’re a skeptic newbie or a long-time Bone broth lover, Diane is sharing her newest Bone Broth Pho recipe for you to try! We HIGHLY suggest you jump onboard and throw this into your dinner rotation. It’s amazing for the entire family, a girls night in meal, or dinner for one. Also, awesome for the kiddos, too! They love customizing their own bowls!

BONE BROTH PHO

Hello!  Diane here! Since starting Bo&Marrow, my life has been full of the unknowns, busy schedules and to be honest, stressful! However, no matter how busy my days are, I try my very best to eat healthy. If I fail to, my skin breaks out, lethargy kicks in and I become an irritable monster! I’m pretty lucky as I get an unlimited supply of bone broth which helps me get through the most hectic of days! It’s super easy and quick to make. Not to mention its gut nourishing and quite satiating!  In our culture, pho is eaten at breakfast time. For me, I can it eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Ingredients ||

  • Bo&Marrow Pho real bone broth or Mushroom & the Sea broth (shown here)
  • Rice noodles
  • Bean Sprouts
  • Basil
  • Cilantro
  • Lime
  • Mushrooms- Enoki, Beech and/or Crimini
  • Hoison sauce
  • Sriracha hot sauce
  • Your choice of protein meat

Directions||

  • Boil rice noodles for 5 minutes. Drain.
  • Add noodles to bowl; set aside
  • Add protein of choice to bowl on top of noodles
  • Bring broth to a boil
  • Ladle broth over noodles
  • Add bean sprouts, basil, squeeze of lime, hoison and sriracha sauce
  • Garnish with cilantro and basil
