Hey friends! Today we want to talk about something that we at The Skinny owe so much of our enjoyment and much success to – collaboration. We’re 100% all about working with different photographers, brands, bloggers and businesses who love to come together to create beautiful content.
There are so many of you great people out there who have such incredible ideas that we would LOVE to be a part of! We’re all for sharing the love here at The Skinny so consider this a “Call for Collaborators” if you will 😉
If you’re a photographer, videographer, artist, company, blogger, writer or heck, any kind of cool creative guy or gal who has a great idea – we want to hear from you!! So today, we thought we’d share a few tips for reaching out and a bit of what we’re looking for…
When we hear from photographers or bloggers we love to know about you and who you are but we also want to know what ideas you have! Are you a videographer who wants to work on a fun recipe or DIY? Are you a business owner with a great product you think would work well to include in a shoot or blog post for Shop The Skinny? If you’re a photographer – what are your fun ideas for a shoot?! Or bloggers, how do you want to incorporate Shop The Skinny into your content?
Today we thought we’d talk about two great collaborations that were pitched to us over the past few months and are the kind of collaborations we’d love to do more of.
Karmen Meyer is a fabulous photographer with some seriously adorable kiddos. She reached out to us before heading off to Hawaii and we spoke about her taking a few pieces to photograph while she was there. We immediately said yes to this, absolutely loving the thought of getting some sweet tropical snapshots of some of our pieces in a setting different from the mucky spring weather we’re experiencing here in Canada. Great content for our instagram and the perfect way to showcase our new products.
We’ve also recently partnered with Emily from Food F1rst after she contacted us with a unique idea to collaborate on her Get JoyFull campaign. Emily and her daughter Cela are working together over the next year to create videos working with different chefs and food suppliers to promote healthy living and eating for the whole family. We loved such a different way to incorporate The Skinny into a fun family brand and we’re happy to announce that we’ll be supplying the clothing for Cela for more upcoming video shoots! Remember this recipe we shared before Father’s Day?
Stay tuned for some other collaboration adventures like our newly launched custom tea blend ‘Come On, Skinny Love‘ with Blue Hour Tea, our upcoming self-care custom products like Bath Salts + Whipped Body Butter with Mint & Daisy, as well as an custom candle blend too!
