
What do you do when you want a quick + healthy smoothie to jump start you and your kiddos day, but you don’t know where to start? You go to the pro. We enlisted Liv, THE woman behind the popular + super fast growing instagram account @oliviaostrom_ to share with us her favourite smoothie, which we cleverly named Liv’s Go-To Smoothie [haha! We get all the points for that most excellent name!].
We asked her for something quick, something super delicious, something with ingredients we’d likely have on hand, along with something that the kiddos could help us with. She delivered, you guys. SHE DELIVERED!
But don’t trust us, try it out for yourself.
LIV’S GO-TO SMOOTHIEIngredients ||
- 1 Cup Frozen Pineapple
- 1 handful of fresh spinach leaves
- 1/2 Banana
- 1 cup approx. Ice
- 1/2 medium sized Avocado
- 1/2 cup Almond Milk
Directions ||
1] In your blender, add the Frozen pineapple.
2] Add your handful of spinach leaves. Throw in your 1/2 banana [you can also add the whole banana if you’re feeling it].3] Add the ice.
4] Next scoop out your 1/2 avocado. [tip: Save the other half of the avocado for a tasty treat on a side of toast!]
5] Pour your almond milk in last and blend that magic potion up! We whipped ours on high speed for about 1.5 mins.
*tip:If it’s too thick, add more almond milk OR if it’s too thin, you can add some more ice or the other half of the banana.Thanks for sharing, Liv!!
